Watch Food Network's Cooking Channel Launch
Due to the growing demand for food advertising and viewership on TV, Scripps, the company that owns Food Network, launched a second channel on Monday, May 31, 2010. The Cooking Channel, as simply called, replaces the Fine Living Network (FLN) on cable and satellite networks.
The new and hipper Cooking Channel will feature different styles and kinds of cooking and cuisines - Italian, French, Chinese and Indian - and many cooking stars such as David Rocco, Roger Mooking, Aida Mollenkamp, Michael Symon (Iron Chef), Emeril Lagasse, Rachael Ray and Bobby Flay.
The channel will also run Chuck’s Day Off, Chinese Food Made Easy and Indian Food Made Easy as well as old shows like Julia Child and Galloping Gourmet.
